2021: Our year in review

The trial of the Master Vacuum Excavator
2021 saw the launch of our prototype Master Vacuum Excavator. While still in development the Master Vacuum Excavator is already making it easier to dig with precision and without the risk of damage to underground pipes and cables.

The Master Vacuum Excavator uses pressure water to create a hole and sucks away debris and water to deliver a safer digging experience. We anticipate there to be high demand for this machine - which is both portable and easy to use and already available to hire. We look forward to telling you more about it in the New Year.

A fleet that grows from strength to strength
Our near new fleet is an important part of our promise to provide hire ready equipment that gives our customers an easier hire experience. 2021 has seen us add many new machines to our fleet - both new models and some new additions too. You can read more about these in A Young and Evolving Fleet of Machines.

One of our new additions has been the Pile Driver attachment which seems to make light work of the toughest fencing and pile jobs. We were impressed to see Kevin Manuel give it such a hard workout.

We also continue to focus on listening to your feedback and innovating our Master Products. This year has seen an adjustment in the angle of the Master Grader blade that is already driving a lot of positive feedback from customers who have tried it.

Hire ready and delivered to you
Our Free Delivery promotion has ensured that even more of our customers have now experienced the benefits of having machines delivered direct to site. That’s just one of the reasons we’ve added another transporter to our fleet. We look forward to delivering equipment to even more locations across Hawke’s Bay in 2022.

Continuous improvement is who we are
Those of you who know us well know that Allways Hire as a team is always focused on how we can do better for our customers. To help us on this journey, this year the whole Allways Hire team completed a course in LEAN manufacturing. LEAN combines a focus on what’s important with a drive for efficiency. We’ve all benefited from this course and look forward to applying this new way of thinking to more initiatives in the New Year.

Looking forward to 2022

A new building brings new opportunities
January 2022 sees Allways Hire expanding our operations to take over what was formerly the FastTrade building, behind the current Allways Hire building. We’ll be on the move soon and are already looking forward to the production opportunities that come with the extra space.

Building on the power of Master
Master machines have gone from strength to strength in 2021 and our new increased space will allow us to upscale production and give even more customers access to the design excellence that Master embodies.

We now have Master machines across the country from Northland to Dunedin. 2022 will see us launching the new Master Vacuum Excavator and we’re anticipating high demand for this incredibly innovative excavation machine.

Welcome to a new member of the Allways Hire team
With the growth of our business comes growth in our team. We’re looking forward to welcoming Jonty Smith to the role of Operations Assistant, starting in the New Year.
